Project support

"swisselectric research" supports applied research and development in all areas related to electricity: from production to transmission, distribution and consumption, from the further development of proven technologies to the use of new renewable energies. In the field of electricity, "swisselectric research" supports the research and application of new technologies, processes and methods, the planning of pilot plants and demonstration systems, and investigations into the underlying problems of the electricity market. Promising projects are selected and promoted through financial contributions – as an impetus to address important issues.

Partnerships

"swisselectric research" supports projects which can be implemented jointly with partners. Collaboration is pursued with universities, research institutes as well as Swiss and foreign companies, institutions and associations in the electricity sector. Important criteria for supporting a project are innovativeness and scientific quality, the applicability of the results and their importance for the electricity industry, participation by other project partners, and the contribution the project can make to promoting junior talents. The results of such projects flow back to swisselectric's member companies, where they provide the basis for planning tomorrow's electricity supplies.
